Asheville Prime Timers will take another Day Trip to Greensboro and UNCG for their 37th Annual International Festival with optional overnight stay. The event is free 
UNC Greensboro will host the 37th annual International Festival (I-Fest) – a celebration of world cultures featuring food, arts and crafts, music, games, exhibits and performances – this Saturday, April 6, at Kaplan Commons (Elliott University Center lawn) from 12 to 5 p.m.












More than 30 countries from across the globe will be represented at the event, which is free and open to the public. Performances include Bollywood dance by UNCG Jalwa and traditional folkloric dance by Imágenes Latinas. Attendees will participate in language and trivia games, try on traditional clothing and enjoy free food samples

Travel and Event Schedule 

Travel from Asheville to Greensboro approx 2.5 hours

Saturday, April 6 -
9:00 AM Gather at River Ridge Parking Lot (on the other side of CVS near highway)  Coffee, juice and biscuits will be provided.
12:00 PM  Arrive UNCG.  Park and enjoy the festival.  
5:00 PM  Leave for Hotel and check-in. 
6:30  PM Depart for Restaurant (TBA) 
8:00 PM Depart for Hotel and social gathering
** Members that are returning can depart anytime desired. 
Sunday, April 7 
Breakfast 
11:00 AM Depart Hotel

Stop in Winston-Salem on return. 
Visit Old Salem Merchants (no fee required)
1) Old Salem Visitor's Center (open 12:30 PM)
2) Old Salem T Bagge & Company - Pottery, crafts, etc. (Open 1:00 PM)
3) Winkler Bakery - Moravian sugar cake, bread, cookies, and other baked goods and learn about the 200-year-old, wood-fired oven located in this essential town building. (Open 1:00 PM) 

Depart Winston-Salem for return to Asheville
